Big Data & Image-Guided Therapy: Current Efforts & Future Prospects

In this lecture, Dr. Brian Courtney will discuss the status and opportunities for medtech innovation in Canada with an emphasis on image-guidance, artificial intelligence, and digital health technologies. The talk will focus on activities in the area of applying AI for image-guided therapies, and potential approaches and current efforts to overcoming barriers in using clinical data to train AI algorithms. Dr. Courtney will also provide an overview on the principles and models for collecting and using data via data trusts and federated learning models as well as the challenges with sharing and utilizing data.
